The Lyrics and Song for Sonnet 97: A description of such a one he would love

Before I begin, I would like give special thanks to my friend Josh Samuel (Remy Represent) for recording this song for the project.  Josh and I wrote the lyrics.  He performed and recorded it.  The beat that was used was produced by me and my friend Zeke.  I tried to honor the original as much as I can while still trying to come up with my own original modern lyrics.  Feel free to download the full song on SoundCloud!

(Verse 1) It’s polarizing cause my soul’s divided

my wants and needs.

and all my motives why

I think I’m over trying,

I think I’m overzealous

finding compromises in the unrequited

my love resides in this hidden vacuum

where my thoughts and wounds are restrained are restrained and muted

kill the muse who could change my mood quick

I blame her cuteness that I stay consumed with

and I blame my heart for being stuck on her

She got an angel spirit that is stuck on Earth

You know the devil dances on our circumstances

I go through hell to not hurt our chances

state of misery from the introduction

and I love so hard that I could barely function

you’re my inner sanctum in this lust erruption

numb to my affection it was corruption

observe beauty from afar, I can feel your light

the warmth I feel from being in your life.

(Chorus) Content me with you eyes , see your

soul from your smile

Cherish every day when you stay for a while

Accepting I can’t make you feel the same

Accepting one day the grief will fade away
